Chances R >> Radar
(Jason Allen - 1992)

There you go, once again
Smiling like you know something
That I don't, no I won't ever

Another night to sit and stare
Someone moves in but I don't care
'Cause it's a free world
Yeah, a free world

What more can I do to make her mine?
Pretending that I'm not the looking kind
Caught up in your radar I can't run
Dream over? Ha! It's only just begun

Thought I'd be another preson
Thought I'd take control
But I found out the hard way
I forgot to check the plans again
And I forgot to read the script
Do I get another chance in another scene?

What more can I do to make it mine?
Pretending that I'm not the hurting kind
Careful with that radar it's a gun
Dream over? Ha! It never could be done

You came to me like the rain from the clouds
On a dark and wet November day
Then you came to me like the sun in the sky
In the hottest July, now I've got it made

It's supposed to be like this, be like this?
Is it supposed to be like this, be like this?
Are we supposed to be like this, be like this?
Are we supposed to love like this
Hate like, fight like this?

Jason says...
"One of my personal favourites. Another song about boozing and the Friday Night ritual. Roy played fiddle on this song during its mid-period incarnation. Then we turned it into a Bo Diddley thing. We dusted it off at our final gig, played at about twice the original speed. See MP3 link (above) for details."
